General

How does Studio work exactly?

Studio is a website subscription. You pay a one-off setup fee and then a fixed monthly price. We build your website, take you live within 5–7 business days, and then take care of basic hosting, SSL, essential technical maintenance, and limited support around the technical operation. You manage the content via the CMS.

How quickly will I go live?

After the first conversation and delivery of your content, we go live within 5 to 7 business days. The faster you deliver your content, the faster we can build.

What is the difference between Studio and a custom project?

Studio is a subscription: low entry cost, fixed monthly price, standardised setup, basic hosting and essential technical maintenance included. A custom project is a one-off engagement: higher upfront investment, more freedom in scope and design, hosting and care built separately.

Can I switch to a custom project later?

Not automatically. A custom project is always a separate engagement with its own proposal and assessment. Studio is not a budget entry into custom development. You can request one via freshconnected.io.

Is Studio a cheap route to custom development?

No. Studio has its own setup: a subscription service based on templates, components, and standard structures. If you need complex integrations, a client portal, or extensive automation, you are better off with a regular custom project from the start. For a regular custom project, see freshconnected.io.

Are extensions possible?

Yes. Extra pages, forms, integrations, SEO services, or branding are added as separate add-ons. These are invoiced separately alongside the monthly subscription.

Can I take the website with me if I leave?

The content you provided yourself is yours and can be requested as an export upon termination. The website setup, templates, and technical infrastructure remain part of FreshConnected Studio.

Price & contract

How long does a Studio subscription run?

The standard minimum term is 36 months. After the first 36 months the subscription continues automatically. From that point it is cancellable monthly with one calendar month's notice, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. You cancel by email to hallo@freshconnected.studio. The subscription is billed annually in advance by default.

What happens after the first 36 months?

The subscription continues automatically. From that point it can be cancelled monthly with one calendar month of notice. Billing remains annually in advance by default.

How does billing work?

The one-off setup fee is invoiced at the start of the project. Studio is billed annually in advance by default. Monthly billing is only possible on request and by explicit agreement. Annual billing in advance remains the default after the minimum term as well.

Can I cancel mid-term?

Not within the first 36 months. Would you prefer a shorter term? We can look at that up front. In that case a different starting price, monthly price or project price usually applies.

Are a domain name and mailbox included?

Yes, all Studio packages include 1 standard domain name and 1 mailbox for the duration of the subscription. Extra domain names, premium domains, unusual extensions, extra mailboxes, extra storage, email migrations, and special mail configurations fall outside the standard package and can be quoted separately.

Technical & maintenance

Is hosting included?

Yes. Basic hosting, SSL and light technical maintenance are included with Studio. Extra capacity, special hosting requirements, performance optimisation, extended security or migrations fall outside the standard Studio packages.

Is maintenance included?

Yes, essential technical maintenance is included: regular updates, security checks and technical backups. Larger changes, new functionality, and special maintenance fall outside the subscription and are agreed separately.

Are backups made?

Yes, technical backups are made within Studio as part of the technical management. These backups are intended for technical recovery after incidents. Restoring a backup is not a replacement for careful content management on your side.

What is not included?

Extra pages beyond the package limit, customisation outside the standard setup, integrations with external systems, and additional SEO services. These are all available as separate add-ons.

Who is responsible for the content of a webshop?

As the client, you are responsible for product information, prices, stock, images, product copy, VAT settings, shipping costs, return policy, terms and conditions, privacy statement, cookie policy, and the payment provider settings. FreshConnected takes care of the technical setup; legal, tax, and commercial accuracy remains with you.
